rite here's an update.

i've been doing relief teaching whilst waiting for my ocbc job to commence. it only starts on 10th sept n there's no way i'm staying home to slack. thankfully to the one above who gave me lobang..i've been teaching ever since last thurs

i've been teachin pri sch kids. omg..believe me they still drive me crazy. i get extremely pissed when they tattletale on one another. A typical day @ sch includes:

Teacher..he say stupid/underwear/molester
Ms Tay..the homework do until which page ah?
Ms Tay, juz now so-n-so beat me
Teacher, may i go to the toilet pls? i'm verrry verrry urgent

it seriously drive me nuts. n these kids r like p1 p2, mind u. they'd run up to me during class, juz to 'report' to me.

as to the above qn, i feel like answering:

Den scold him back idoit/asshole/sh*t u lah!
walau u nv pay attn is it? its page 30!!
Den smack his face la! like wad else?
Just go ok!?

u noe, like seriously i cant say the above, coz tts inappropriate. hence i gotta tone down n like wad else, walk up to the kid who said 'stupid' n tell him off.

"so-n-so, is it true tt u said 'stupid'? y did u do tt? do u think u r very smart? if u are so smart, u can stay behind wif me during recess to do xtra work, do u want tt? if not u better sit back at ur place quietly! i dun wanna hear any other complaints of u, is tt clear? now wad muz u say to him/her?'

i really wished it was like in the past where corporal punishment cld b met out. woah, if tts e case ah, i'd be whipping out the cane juz to scare the kids. whack it on the desk to intimidate the hell outta them.

my brother, who is a pri sch teacher (dun ask me why he chose teaching as a career, i'm equally perplexed), asked me to lend him a whistle 2 wks ago. i was wondering y he needed it, esp since he's not a PE tcher, but juz a form teacher. Now i noe y.

I went to buy a whistle frm popular bookstore b4 gg to work today. I swear by it. It really works! somehow kids respond to the whistle. This way, i dun nd to raise my voice unnecessarily. they noe wad i mean when i blow e whistle once, n when i blow it twice. No, *beep* does not come with a 'Ready!' n *beep beep* is not followed by '3,2,1...Go!'

today i conducted PE lessons. hahah damn fun la. made them do a mini telematch, but tt was aft taking 5-10 min to make them settle down, brief them abt the rules.

Dribble the ball to the other side-put it down n take a bean bag to balance on ur head- walk back w/o letting the bean bag drop

aft tt the requesed to play police n thief, n i let them do so.

as with all stuff, i actually do find e kids quite a bundle of joy. their extreme enthusiasm when i ask this qn:

Is there anyone who can help me carry the books down to my table?

Even b4 i finish my sentence, when i say 'is there anyone', ALL hands shoot up, with chorus of 'me me me me me me!' i'm not exaggerating, mind u. i even have to say, 'wait..i havent finished my sentence.'

somehow when i saw those kids go for gymnastics class n doing the head stand, i couldnt help but smile. i also felt kinda sad coz e song 'the young ones' by cliff richard rang in my head.

i realised tt, i'm no longer the young ones anymore.

anw u noe wads most sweeeet? i received red pens frm some kids as teachers day present. wahahahah. those 40cents red leaf pen? erm..i received them. n diz gal gave me a powerpuff sticker. 'Ms Tay, for u..'

Awwww. my heart melted.

there's many moments tt i tried to hold back my laughter. for instance, there's such thing called a silent clap. As with the 'Give me one macho clap' *clap HUR*, there's also, 'Give me one silent clap':

*clap shhhhhhh* n then everyone puts their finger to their lip.

upon seeing tt, u cld so imagine tt -_-^ on my face. i nearly burst out laughing lolx
