e 'am chiou' face
been wanting to blog since ytd. diz is 1 day due: ahhh..its so nice to take a nap. And diz only happens on weekends or public holidays. Yup today is Good Friday. So did u all have a good friday on Good Friday? ahaha..one of the lame qn i asked jul while walking to the shower room at National Stadium and she rolled her eyes at me. Hrmp.
Yirang, jul, wen and i were supposed to hitch a ride frm pinxiu's dad van diz morning but in e end, it turned out tt jul was e only one left coz wen had her dad fetch her to sdba while yirang n i both woke up late n in e end turned out tt all of took cab down. There goes my $15 and another case of expensive vitasoy. Ok diz time it wasnt vitasoy's fault. It was coz i slept late ytd aft watching such a gd show on channel 5--Men of Honour. I cried at the last part of the show. His sheer determination to complete the 12 steps was just..amazing. And he cried coz of the pain his body had to endure.
And tt explains why i had to take cab down to SDBA today. haha woke up late mah. But trg was really gd. We trained in 2 small boats den yah i felt tt the timing n coordination is better compared to e previous trg. =] And e transition as well. Yup.
It doesnt matter which boat we r in tmr. What matters is tt we ultimately row as TeamNUS. And yes, we will definitely give our best shot tmr.
Today(26/03/05): i woke up at 430am diz morning to do maths. Yup i realised i cant study at night coz i get tired v fast so i'm trying out studying in e morning n so far its quite gd. That explains y i was ald in bed at 9pm ytd n e most ironic thing bout e sms mona sent out to remind us to sleep, was tt e sms kinda woke me up instead. I woke up to check who sms-ed me. hah but did manage to fall back asleep right aft tt.
So today we met at 830 at e entrance. Yea my camera can finally show its presence. Ok maybe meiping did try to confiscate it but she took e camera to take pictures as well. hah. Hmm, ok so it was my first time being e pacer for a race. It was quite an experience. Initially a bit nervous but aft rowing to starting pt den cant think of anything else other den to show our fighting spirit n give our best shot. We came in 2nd. Felt breathless when we ez-ed. Was it a gd set? Hmm..yup..But can be better. After tt it was more photo taking, and jalan-jalan(ing) n picnic..n resting, etc. We were waiting for time to past for e next event--e Mixed Open where 1/2 the team wld be rowing. I wore wenya's shade n act cool. N i was was enjoying the whole bottle of glucose to myself n gave a loud, hearty luff n den, i felt smth not quite right. N to sum it up in as little words as possible, i saw RED. Urghh. Enough said.
The mixed team event was so exciting. There was this boat 4 which cut through all possible lanes and we, as spectators were screaming like mad coz we feared tt they wld collide wif the NUS mixed boat, and hence hinder our chance of winning. Thankfully, NUS was the 1st boat n was leading in e pack so boat 4 was far behind n did not affect Red 2. It was darn gd to see them come in first! Woo hoo. They did well man! *pats shoulders*
Aft tt 5 of us went to J8 for lunch at pasta mania. I went to buy myself a cap n an SB. By the time i reached hm and washed my stuff, it was almost time to go for church. N i went with my brother. Oh my gosh, i didnt know tt it was mass held in chinese at st. francis church today! if i known i wldnt have went. Anyway, we attended a chinese mass!! my gosh. Ok dis time it wasnt juz him making me laugh but i was trying so hard not to laugh coz of the translation n all. I was practically giving the 'am chiou' face e whole time. In e end, i instigated him to leave e mass early. We made a quick exit aft trying hard not to laugh most of the time. Yup i realised i got diz habit of pretending to rub my nose to hide tt 'am chiou' look but it doesnt work! In e end, we'd look at each other n start laughing all over again. U shd have juz heard my brother trying to make out e chinese words n trying to sing it. wahahahhaha.
got quite a lot of other stuffs to type..but i better go get some sleep. hah. nitez pple. tmr another long day man.
